Night Guard (Occlusal Splint)

A removable dental appliance, usually made of hard acrylic or soft silicone, molded to fit the upper or lower arch. It acts as a barrier between the teeth to prevent the destructive forces of Bruxism (grinding/clenching).

Why It Matters

Chronic grinding wears down enamel, cracks teeth, and strains the jaw muscles (TMJ).

FAQ

What is a night guard?

A protective mouthpiece worn while sleeping to stop teeth from grinding against each other.

How to clean night guard?

Rinse with cold water every morning. Brush gently with a toothbrush (no toothpaste, as it is abrasive). Soak in a denture cleaner tablet once a week. Never use hot water, as it warps the plastic.
