An "Indirect Restoration" (made in a lab/mill, not directly in the mouth). An Inlay fits inside the cusp tips of the tooth, similar to a filling, but is made of a solid block of porcelain or composite.
Standard fillings shrink when they harden, which can leave gaps in large cavities. An inlay is milled to perfection and cemented in, creating a stronger seal and reducing sensitivity.
A pre-molded filling that is cemented into the tooth. It is stronger and longer-lasting than a regular filling.
