CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography)

An advanced X-ray technology that generates a 3D image of the teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, and bone in a single scan. It differs from a standard medical CT by using a cone-shaped beam, which significantly reduces radiation exposure.

Why It Matters

Standard 2D X-rays cannot show the width of the jawbone. A CBCT is mandatory for planning dental implants to avoid hitting nerves and to ensure there is enough bone volume.
