Endosteal Implant

The most common type of dental implant used today. The term means "within the bone." It consists of a screw (usually titanium or zirconium) that is surgically inserted directly into the jawbone to act as an artificial root.

Why It Matters

It is the industry standard because it mimics natural tooth mechanics. The bone fuses to the implant (Osseointegration), providing a stable anchor for crowns or bridges.
