A surgical technique to increase bone height in the upper jaw. Unlike the "Open" (Lateral Window) technique, the sinus floor is lifted through the hole drilled for the dental implant.
It is less invasive than an open lift, causing less swelling and faster recovery. However, it is only possible if you still have 4–6mm of natural bone remaining. If you have less, an open lift is required.
It is an internal lift performed through the implant site, suitable for minor bone augmentations (lifting 2-3mm).
